The fascinating Natural Science Museum of Menorca in Binissuès! 

Emblematic house museum in Binissuès, a rural estate located in Es Pla Verd, between Ferreries and Ciutadella. 

In Binissuès you can not only discover the traditional life of the Menorcan noble families and the activities in the countryside, but you can also get to know one of the most important animal collections in Europe in its Natural Science Museum. 

Binissuès allows visitors to discover both the valuable cultural and ethnological heritage and the exceptional private collection of the Carreras Torrent brothers, one of the most important in Europe. 

The Natural Science Museum’s exhibition consists of 8,000 specimens of different species from the animal world, collected in Menorca and all over the world. It includes butterflies, spiders, reptiles and giant insects, some of which have been preserved in an identical state of conservation since the time of the dinosaurs.

Manor houses from the late 18th century offer outstanding views of Pla Verd, located between Ferreries and Ciutadella. They are open to visits, both the farmhouse, where you can learn about the life and work of the people of Menorca’s countryside, as well as the manor house, which was used by the owners of the estate to spend their holidays.

A very complete experience to do with the whole family, to get to know and learn about biodiversity worldwide and the importance of the adaptation of animals to their original habitats.
